MEET OUR FOUNDER:
Maria Zaffuto has a passion for fairs. She has been involved in all things fair since day one. As all fair people know, one must wear many “hats” to get the job done. Over the past 14 years of professional involvement in the industry, Maria has worn these hats. Back in the day you would have found her taking care of her blue ribbon chickens, and now you’ll find her selling ice cream as a business owner, launching her own ice cream concession business, as well as booking entertainment, coordinating fair entries, pioneering online entries and paperless judging books, designing and maintaining her fair’s website, managing vendors, planning and hosting fair events, managing social media accounts and don’t forget setting up chicken cages and having some fun driving around the fairgrounds in a golf cart! She has two favorite weeks of the year- the week of her home fair and the week of the Pennsylvania Association of County Fairs convention. She would live and breathe fairs all year round if she could (well actually she does- fairs are a year round project after all!) She is known to always say… “Life is for Adventures”…she is glad you have decided to join her latest adventure- FAIROLOGY. Now, get ready to connect and dive in!
